Medical Insurance

EU and Non-EU Student Coverage
Health Insurance Requirements
All EU students must come with the European Health Insurance Card, which covers any emergency treatment while in Ireland, including doctors’ visits, hospital visits, and medication. Private insurance can also be useful (e.g., Mondial Assistance), though it often requires paying fees upfront that can be reimbursed later.
All Non-EU students must have valid private health insurance, which is mandatory. We recommend Study & Protect as a reliable provider with comprehensive coverage. Their insurance can be accessed at www.studyandprotect.com.
